Hard Rock Cafe Vegetarian Food Review

Vegetarian Awareness Month is this month. It has become a Hard Rock Cafe tradition to offer a vegetarian menu during October. I have attended their first two press releases for this event, but unfortunately this year I have missed it. However, I was lucky enough to be invited to taste the three new Hard Rock Cafe vegetarian food dishes.

These three dishes are the Cauliflower Wings, the Cauliflower Burger and the Grilled Vegetable Pasta.

If you have read my previous Hard Rock Cafe vegetarian menu posts, you might have noticed that the Cauliflower Wings and the Cauliflower Burger were taken from previous Hard Rock Cafe Vegetarian Awareness Month menus. The Grilled Vegetable Pasta is a completely new vegetarian dish.

Cauliflower Wings

Crispy Buffalo style cauliflower “wings” served with blue cheese, celery and carrot sticks. Choice of our Classic Rock, Tangy or Heavy Metal sauces.

Cauliflower is one of the vegetables I don’t enjoy eating. However, I have enjoyed the taste of these wings until my mouth started to feel the heat of the spices added to these wings. I was served the mild version of these wings but still, my mouth felt it hot.

Cauliflower Burger

A house-made patty of cauliflower, garlic, egg, goat cheese, oregano & breadcrumbs topped with grilled zucchini, squash and Monterey Jack cheese with arugula, tomato and garlic aioli.

Again cauliflower, one of my least favourite vegetables. Also again I enjoyed eating this burger but it wasn’t as spicy as the Cauliflower Wings. If there were spices they were what I consider as mild.

Grilled Vegetable Pasta

Grilled seasonal veggies in a slightly spicy fresh creamy tomato sauce served with Parmesan shavings and garlic toast.

This dish is like having a starter and a main in one as it comes with garlic bread. Yes, it has parmesan. I have asked for a version without parmesan since parmesan is not vegetarian. The vegetables I could recognise in this dish were cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. Broccoli is another vegetable that I don’t like. However, as in the previous dishes, they didn’t bother me as they were soft and seasoned. The pasta had some spices too. I would give it between a mild and medium rate of spiciness.

Next time I visit Hard Rock Cafe with friends, it will be easier for me to find a dish which is meat-free.

Thank you, Hard Rock Cafe Malta for the invite! I hope sometime soon Hard Rock Cafe global considers to offer at least 1 vegan dish.

Have you tried any of these vegetarian dishes yet?
