Delicata Vegan Wine List 2016

Unfortunately, not all wine is vegan. I would have assumed that it was as I assumed that it only consists of fermented grapes, in the case of grape wines. However, it seems that in the winemaking process they most often use fining agents that come from animal protein. Fortunately, if you are vegan and want to support local wineries, you are in luck. Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker Ltd. has recently updated its Delicata vegan wine list.

Delicata Vegan Wines – Classic Collection

Delicata Vegan Wines – Maltese Falcon

Delicata Vegan Wines – Pjazza Regina Red

Delicata Vegan Wines – Victoria Heights

Delicata Vegan Wines – Medina

Delicata Vegan Wines – Grand Vin de Hauteville

Delicata Vegan Wines – Gran Cavalier

Delicata Vegan Wines – Ġellewża Frizzante, semi-sparkling

The Frizzante label consists of two Delicata semi-sparkling wines that are made entirely from the Islands’ indigenous grape varieties unique to Malta. The Brut Frizzante is made from the white grape of Malta called Girgentina and the Rose Demi-Sec Frizzante from the Maltese native red grape Gellewza. Both wines make for the perfect aperitif or celebratory wine. The medal-winning Gellewza Rose Frizzante is particularly popular at Maltese weddings and receptions where it is served chilled as the ideal welcome drink.

Whenever I drink wine, I choose sweet ones. I wouldn’t know from this vegan wine list, which one would be ideal for me. I would appreciate if you could suggest one.
