About 3 weeks ago I was excited to receive blog mail from Malta. The Maltese distributor for Histomer has gifted me some items to try out. Let me give you a brief introduction to the brand Histomer. Histomer is an Italian salon brand whose products are based on botanical stem cells. That is why technically all of their products are vegan. I have given the Malta distributor all details about my skin type. It was not easy to describe as it seems that my skin changes every season. What I had been using for Winter was not working, as soon as Spring started. My skin is not dry anymore. So I am happy that Histomer has sent me their oily skin range i.e. Histomer Formula 201 Normalising products to review.
Is Histomer cruelty-free?
As I do with any other brand, I did not only take the brand’s word for it, I checked myself and found that Histomer does not support animal testing. However, as it is not certified by PETA or the Leaping Bunny, I can’t yet call it cruelty-free. Not only that but all of their products except for the hair sun protection spray, which the Maltese distributor happens not to import are vegan.
Are the Histomer Formula 201 Normalising Range vegan?
Yes, just as I said, the Histomer Formula 201 Normalising Range is vegan.

My thoughts on the Histomer Formula 201 Normalising Range
Pros
- Skin feels balanced, not dry and not oily.
- Have a clean and fresh scent.
- Vegan.
- Come in a glass pump bottles.
- The pump bottles are equipped with a vacuum-sealed sack inside for keeping the product freshness, also to guarantee maximum use of the product and in case clumsy Fiona drops it.
Cons
- Contain synthetic polymers, which are rated safe for the skin by the EWG database. I listed it as a con as they might not be safe for the environment. However, our polyester, nylon or acrylic clothes, recycled or not, damage more the environment than cosmetics that contain synthetic polymers.
Rate 4/5
On the whole, I am happy with the products.
