Last month I went through essence cosmetics’ cruelty-free status. This month I thought of examining whether Catrice cosmetics is cruelty-free.
Does Catrice Cosmetics test on animals?
- “Testing on animals is a no-go for Catrice. We do not conduct animal testing and do not commission anyone else to do so either. Not in the European union or anywhere else in the world. We never have and we never will.”
This means that Catrice Cosmetics does not test on animals.
Is Catrice Cosmetics owned by a parent that is not cruelty-free?
Catrice Cosmetics is owned by Cosnova. This is what Cosnova states about their animal testing policy:
- “cosnova has never performed or commissioned animal testings at any time in its history. We have always been close to the topic of animal welfare, which is why we have voluntarily renounced animal testing right from the beginning and even before the introduction of the legal ban. cosnova continues to produce good and safe products without letting any animal suffer!”
This confirms that Cosnova does not test on animals. I have not found any information about them selling cosmetics in Mainland China. So it seems that Cosnova is cruelty-free.
Is Catrice Cosmetics certified cruelty-free?
Yes, essence cosmetics is listed on PETA’s cruelty-free list. This means that Catrice Cosmetics is certified cruelty-free.
Does Catrice Cosmetics sell in China?
- “animal testing was even mandatory for products sold in China until 2014, this doesn’t apply to Catrice because we do not sell our products in China.”
No, Catrice Cosmetics does not sell in China.
Is Catrice Cosmetics cruelty-free?
Yes, from all this information I could gather, I can confirm that Catrice Cosmetics is cruelty-free.
Is Catrice Cosmetics vegan?
