Danone and Nestlé animal tests exposed

Till yesterday my list of cruel food brands to boycott consisted of brands from Unilever and Mars. Unfortunately from today Danone and Nestlé have joined my list of cruel food brands.

This happened due to Cruelty Free International’s exposé about Danone and Nestlé using dogs, hamsters and pigs in cruel animal tests to verify whether their food products could cause health issues or have health benefits humans.

Some of these cruel experments consists of animals being force-fed and have tubes implanted in their organs.

You might think that, there’s nothing wrong about it as at least they are using animals and not humans in such experiments. However, it is a fact that tests that pass in animal experiments most of the time fail human experiments. Not only they are tested also on humans but also most of the time these human tests fail, as every animal’s body react different than that of a human.

So what’s the use of torturing animals if most of the successful animal tests still fail on humans?

Unfortunately, most of the food in Malta is owned by Nestlé, so avoiding from buying products from this giant is going to be hard but not impossible. Hopefully, this won’t be for long as Cruelty Free International have also created a petition to ask Danone and Nestléto change their values and stop getting involved in such experiments.

Please sign Cruelty Free International’s petition today!
