4 Vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar

A few weeks ago I have shared with you lists of vegan-friendly restaurants in Sliema, St Julians and Valletta. Now I thought it’s time to start listing restaurants in areas outside this city. Luckily I happened to try out some vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar, which I will be writing about below.

Becky’s Kitchen

After seeing people sharing Becky’s vegan hot dog, I got curious and went to try it. Arriving there, I have discovered that they also have a vegan burger. So I had a dilemma. In the end, I chose the hot dog as I ended up taking a lot of vegan burgers from other restaurants, it’s good to have something different. I was a bit disappointed to discover that the sausage was not homemade. However, the complete meal was tasty, especially the mushroom sauce added at the top. Next time I visit I will try their vegan burger as it sounded homemade, so now I am curious.

Crème Café at Yorkdale

Not sure if it is still relevant for this year as I could not find a menu online to confirm. However, last year I had found out that Crème Café offers some vegan brunch options.

Flora’s

Till the end of this year, Flora’s are organising vegan Sunday lunches. I happened to have gone to one of these lunches and the food was yummy. Their cauliflower nuggets were my most favourite cauliflower dish that I have tried till today. It shows that there was an effort in creating attractive and tasty vegan food from scratch. With regards to their everyday menu, I am not sure if they have vegan options though.

Sanya

If you prefer a 100% vegan place in Naxxar, I would recommend you to check out Sanya. Sanya is mainly a spa. However, they also have an area where you can take breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. In the evening Sanya is closed, so if you are visiting Naxxar for dinner, better check the other places that I have mentioned. As I already said Sanya is 100% vegan, so if you like to take your coffee with milk, they offer oat milk or homemade almond milk. They also create their own Kombucha, which I was not sure how it tasted before I took a sip at Sanya. It reminded me of my apple cider vinegar cold remedy. When I was at Sanya, I had also tried their nourish bowl which you build yourself by choosing a base, 2 vegetables, a protein source, a healthy fat and a dressing. Although I am trying to be vegan, I do not like all vegetables and legumes. So I was not sure what to choose and whether I would be disappointed with my choice. However, how I loved how the items in my nourish bowl were cooked and seasoned.

Do you know of other vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar? In these lists, I am listing eateries that offer specifically food for vegans and not random outlets that have options that sound vegan.
