This month I was supposed to start working in Germany. My plan was to prepare and deliver the first cruelty-free kit. So, I asked if it would be possible for me to start in April instead. Luckily, they agreed. So this month, after work, I was busy sorting products and setting up the kit according to the beauty profiles I have received. Last week I managed to deliver all the kits too just in time for me to move to Germany. That is why today, I am going to share the Spring 2019 Cruelty-free Kit Unboxing post.
The following are the brands that you should have had in your Spring 2019 Cruelty-free kit:
Aloe Dent Whitening Toothpaste (vegan, deluxe sample)
It’s not yet easy to find cruelty-free and vegan toothpaste in Malta. I was so happy when MK Natural Health offered me deluxe samples of this cruelty-free and vegan toothpaste. Especially since most if not all of you chose toothpaste as one of your prefered body care products. After I announced this product as a sneak peek of the kit and mentioned that it’s the ideal size for travelling, I was being asked where they can buy this size of toothpaste from. However, the only way one could get her hands on this size of toothpaste was through the kit. Unfortunately, people were more interested in the travel-sized toothpaste than the kit. 😅

Catrice Cosmetics (full-size)
Each kit had a different makeup product from Catrice depending on the list of prefered makeup you specified in the beauty profile. If you ticked that you wanted vegan, I made sure a vegan Catrice makeup product was added in your kit.
Essence Cosmetics (full-size)
Same as Catrice each kit had a different makeup product from Essence. This depends on what makeup products you ticked on the beauty profile. If you ticked that you wanted vegan products, I made sure that you were given a vegan Essence Cosmetics product.
Sapun Ta’ Malta Salini Salt Scrub Cube (vegan, full-size RRP €11.50)
This came as a surprise to me. I have asked for sample sized products but the new Made in Malta, Peta certified brand Sapun Ta’ Malta, gladly offered me their RRP €11.50 soap. So if you were thinking whether it’s worth it to pay €10 for a curated samples service, Sapun Ta’ Malta made it worth it. I can’t guarantee that the Summer kit will have a full-sized product that costs the same or more than the kit. However, I do hope that it will. 🤞

The Body Shop (vegan, 4 sachets and 1 deluxe sample)
If it wasn’t for The Body Shop, I would have taken longer to find enough suppliers to complete the Spring kit. I was surprised to see that they gave me 5 skincare samples to put in the kit.

That was all the brands you could find in the kit. I know in the beginning I promised 10 samples but then eventually I reworded the product description to 5 – 10 samples. The reason is that I did not receive only samples. So I calculated the 10 samples as follows:
1 full-sized product = 2 samples
1 deluxe sample = 1 sample
2 sachet sample = 1 sample
I hope that you loved the products that you’ve received. If you have any feedback, and even suggestions please do message me as I try to make the kit as helpful as possible.
In case you haven’t tried this kit and are tempted to give it a try, you are in time for the Summer 2019 kit. Last order for the Summer 2019 kit will be taken on May 15th 2019 as I will need to tell companies, how many samples I would need in total and for which skin type etc.
