Is Mumuso cruelty-free?

Is Mumuso cruelty-free?

A year or more ago Mumuso opened in Malta. I had quickly visited during my last month’s visit to Malta and everything was cute and attractive. One thing I noticed that they stocked are cosmetics and I wondered if their cosmetics are cruelty-free. So last week I researched more about Mumuso and found out it is a fake Korean brand based in Mainland China. During my research, I have discovered that Koreans don’t seem to like Mumuso and that Mumuso is operating in Korea illegally. By now you might have already assumed Mumuso’s cruelty-free status. However, let us check in more detail.

My answer is that Mumuso is not cruelty-free, let’s see why.

Mumuso is a Chinese brand acting as a Korean brand, with over 600 stores in China and overseas. So yes, Mumuso sells in Mainland China.

Mumuso is not a cosmetics brand. However, they do have some cosmetics. I went to check if their China website list any cosmetics, and yes it does. This means that Mumuso sells cosmetics in Mainland China.

Since we already saw that Mumuso is not cruelty-free, I don’t think it would be relevant to know whether their products are vegan. Also since they did not disclose their animal testing policy, I will doubt they are aware of veganism.

Which brands should I support instead?

If you are looking for a brand who is serious about its anti-animal-testing policy. Check my list of brands that are against animal testing.
