Pupa Milano Paris Experience I’M Hot Burgundy Lipstick Review

I don’t know when the trend of wearing a dark lipstick started, but my interest in this trend started as soon as I saw photos of Lorde’s dark lips. Few weeks after, I noticed that other celebrities also were sporting this look. This gave me the urge to start searching for a similar shade of lipstick with strong pigment.

I didn’t search for long as, Pupa Milano, one of my two most favourite cruelty-free make-up brands, were launching the autumn 2014 collection called Paris Experience and guess what, it had a dark lipstick (shade 003 – Hot Burgundy).

However since I rarely am an impulse buyer, I made an agreement with myself that since I own lots of lipsticks, to buy the Hot Burgundy shade I have to use and empty an old lipstick. The frustrating part is that the old lipstick never got empty. Nevertheless, it seemed that I was destined to own the Pupa Milano Paris Experience – 003 Hot Burgundy shade as on the exact week of my birthday it was in my letterbox.

I was very happy with the unexpected “birthday” gift from Pupa Milano, that I immediately thanked them and automatically it became my night lipstick shade.

PROS:
Apart from the usual properties of a lipstick. The Paris Experience I’M Lipstick:

  • has a sweet vanilla-like scent,
  • is pigmented, and
  • is long lasting

CONS:

  • it’s a limited edition shade 🙁

To give a brief introduction about the collection. The Pupa Milano Paris Experience collection is inspired by Paris. Paris being an elegant fashion capital city, mixed with the colors found in baroque interior of historical Parisian palaces.

For the international market, Pupa Milano has launched the following limited edition products:

  • Paris Experience Vamp Wet & Dry Eyeshadow – €11.70
  • Paris Experience I’M Lipstick – €12.45
  • Paris Experience  Multiplay – €8.60
  • Paris Experience Golden Infusion – €14.97
  • Paris Experience Lasting Colour Gel – €6.00

A word of advice would be that since Paris Experience is a limited edition and since winter is around the corner, it would be wise to get the products you’re interested in before December or at least at the start of December as the shelves will soon be taken over by the Pupa Milano Snow Queen winter 2014 collection.
