Mineral Foundation: ELF vs Lily Lolo

I haven’t tried neither ELF’s mineral range, nor Lily Lolo’s mineral make up. What I am writing here is a comparison of products from a first glance. Some things that you might need to consider before buying.
INGREDIENTS
ELF: Mica,  Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Caprylyl Glycol.  May Contain: Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163),  Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI77499), Maganese Violet (CI77742), Ultramarines (CI77707).
Lily Lolo: Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue.
Common Ingredients: Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue.
Extra Ingredients:

  • Boron Nitride – (along with Si3N4, NbN, and BNC) is reported to show weak fibrigenic activity and cause pneumoconiosis.[1] Pneumoconiosis is an occupational lung disease and a restrictive lung disease caused by the inhalation of dust, often in mines.[2]
  • Caprylyl Glycol – Skin-conditioning agent that may be plant-derived or synthetic. Often used as part of a preservative blend with phenoxyethanol and chloroxylenol, two preservatives that meet current global regulations. [3]
  • Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163) – Bismuth oxychloride is a chemical compound of bismuth, oxygen, and chlorine, with the formula BiOCl. It exists in nature as the mineral bismoclite which is part of the matlockite mineral group.[4]
  • Maganese Violet (CI77742) – Manganese violet is an inorganic salt ammonium manganese pyrophosphate used as a colorant. This ingredient may be derived from animals.[5]

PRICE PER WEIGHT
ELF €4.00 per 2.84g
Lily Lolo €16.00 per 10g
Price per gram: ELF €1.40 Lily Lolo €1.60

CONCLUSION
They both have Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue but ELF’s has extra ingredients which might be useless and hazardous. For 20c per gram I would rather buy a safer product than use them later on on medicinal products which might give me more side effects.
