Event | High Tea with Essence and Catrice

Every year I look forward to PharmaMT‘s, the distributors Catrice and Essence Cosmetics in Malta, yearly fun and interesting event for bloggers where they introduce the new collections from these fun and affordable brands. It’s something different every year, and this time it was a tea party which happened yesterday, two days after my birthday. 😀

Just in case you haven’t heard of Essence and Catrice before, these two brands are owned by a German company called Cosnova. However each of these target a different age bracket. Essence Cosmetics is more affordable and has colorful fun packaging than Catrice, as it targets teenagers and students. Catrice, on the other hand, costs slightly more than Essence and their packaging look a bit more serious as it targets a more “mature” age group.

During this tea party, apart from the delicious sweets food that we had the chance to taste, we had a quick introduction to the brands and the new range, and time to swatch products and mingle.

Most of the  shades we swatched consisted of plum, burgundy,  nude and brown shades, which in my opinion they are ideal for both Autumn and Winter look. I don’t think I own any plum shades, so I will be soon putting some Catrice and Essence Cosmetics products in my cruelty-free wishlist.

Since I’ve been recently asked whether Essence Cosmetics and Catrice are vegan, I will be soon posting blog posts where I list the vegan products from these collections.

Just to have a teaser, I was surprised to find out that most of the products, with the exception of the foundations, are vegan-friendly. Finding out this and knowing how much the vegan market is important for most German brands, I won’t be surprised if these two brands will one day soon become 100% vegan.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank PharmaMT, Essence Cosmetics and Catrice for the lovely event. <3
