The Sunshine Blogger Award is not a big event where you pay and get a big ceremony. Where you end up in receiving a piece of decoration which you put on the wall or shelf. The Sunshine Blogger Award is similar to a tag post. You get recognition by a fellow blogger who asks newer questions from the blogger before.

What inspired you to blog?
I have always attempted to start a blog but it never succeeded because it was full of random subjects. The reason behind the CrueltyFreeMalta.com blog is to make people aware that although we have the impression that Malta is full of companies that support animal testing, living cruelty-free is not as hard as we think.
If you had to stick to one makeup brand for the rest of life, which would it be and why?
I think I will stick to Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics as I currently think that they are the purest form of makeup at an affordable price. However, I won’t be doing that now as their lip products are not yet vegan-friendly.
Which is your favourite blog post?
My favourite blog posts are my vegan cosmetics lists as they are my most popular pages. Popular posts help me know what other people like me want to find on my blog.
If you had to be one person – dead or alive – who would it be and what would be the first thing you did as this person?
I don’t have in mind any particular person who I would want to be. However, I would want to be someone younger than I am and with lots of money to spend on making the world a better place.
What’s your favourite place in the whole world?
I used to wish I lived in Germany, particularly in Munich because of its mountains and beautiful castles. However, after more than one year living in Offenburg Germany, I came to realise that Malta is my favourite place. It’s my home and pasta is served with sauce and not as a side instead of fries.
If you had to travel to the past in a particular decade, which would it be and why?
All decades have their nice things so I don’t really have a particular decade preference. I think I would choose a decade where food was organic and humans haven’t yet started polluting the environment. What decade would that be? Stoneage? ?
What advice would you give to your younger self?
To start learning German, Computer Studies and Art as early as possible.
Name three people you look up to.
Another tricky question. Maybe my father, my sister and my boyfriend. My father because I always ask for his advice whenever I am considering doing something. Then my sister as she has the courage to do take what I would consider them to be life-threatening risks like abseiling, going down a zip line and voluntary work in Albania this summer. My boyfriend because he doesn’t give up on things or people and he’s the only close person I have that encourages me to continue working on CrueltyFreeMalta.com even if he’s not yet cruelty-free himself.
What is the one thing you never leave home without?
My mobile phone as I try to be as online as possible for my blog and its social media accounts. I made sure that my phone cover has pockets for cards and bank notes.
What is your all-time favourite song?
I think my all-time favourite song it’s The Neverending Story by Limahl. However, I like more the music part of the song rather than the vocal part. It makes me dream of flying through the sky on Falkor the luck dragon. The movie is my favourite childhood movie.
What advice would you give to beginner bloggers?
My advice for beginner bloggers is to find a niche. Anyone can be a lifestyle, travel, beauty, fashion or food blogger. However if you dig further like how I’ve decided to focus on cruelty-free lifestyle and not just lifestyle, you can find your loyal readers who relate to you and succeed.
