4 Vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar

Vegan Restaurants in Naxxar

A few weeks ago I have shared with you lists of vegan-friendly restaurants in Sliema, St Julians and Valletta. Now I thought it’s time to start listing restaurants in areas outside this city. Luckily I happened to try out some vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar, which I will be writing about below.

Becky’s Kitchen

After seeing people sharing Becky’s vegan hot dog, I got curious and went to try it. Arriving there, I have discovered that they also have a vegan burger. So I had a dilemma. In the end, I chose the hot dog as I ended up taking a lot of vegan burgers from other restaurants, it’s good to have something different. I was a bit disappointed to discover that the sausage was not homemade. However, the complete meal was tasty, especially the mushroom sauce added at the top. Next time I visit I will try their vegan burger as it sounded homemade, so now I am curious.

Crème Café at Yorkdale

Not sure if it is still relevant for this year as I could not find a menu online to confirm. However, last year I had found out that Crème Café offers some vegan brunch options.

Flora’s

Till the end of this year, Flora’s are organising vegan Sunday lunches. I happened to have gone to one of these lunches and the food was yummy. Their cauliflower nuggets were my most favourite cauliflower dish that I have tried till today. It shows that there was an effort in creating attractive and tasty vegan food from scratch. With regards to their everyday menu, I am not sure if they have vegan options though.

How well can you guess the ingredients in what you eat?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Flora's #VeganSundayLunch last Sunday ended with a #MelonSorbet. It wasn't too sweet. They seem to have used the melon's sweetness or added a slight amount of sugar as I did feel a bit of sugar.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I tasted a hint of coconut too and my boyfriend didn't believe it cause he didn't taste any coconut, just melon. After I said that, my sister believed that she had started tasting coconut too.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I got so curious that I asked if it had a hint of coconut. It seems that I was right as they have used coconut cream in the mixture.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My boyfriend then said that cigarettes have killed his taste buds as he hadn't tasted any coconut.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @florastearoom⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #veganmaltaeats #veganmalta #naxxar #florasnaxxar #veganblog #veganblogger #veganfood #veganfoodshare #vegansofinstagram #whatveganseat #veganlifestyle #veganfoodporn #veganlife #vegangirl #veganism #veganeats #veganfoodlovers #vegans #govegan #vegancommunity #veganshare #veganfoodie #bestofvegan #veganlove #plantstrong #veganpower #veganforlife #plantbaseddiet

Sanya

If you prefer a 100% vegan place in Naxxar, I would recommend you to check out Sanya. Sanya is mainly a spa. However, they also have an area where you can take breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. In the evening Sanya is closed, so if you are visiting Naxxar for dinner, better check the other places that I have mentioned. As I already said Sanya is 100% vegan, so if you like to take your coffee with milk, they offer oat milk or homemade almond milk. They also create their own Kombucha, which I was not sure how it tasted before I took a sip at Sanya. It reminded me of my apple cider vinegar cold remedy. When I was at Sanya, I had also tried their nourish bowl which you build yourself by choosing a base, 2 vegetables, a protein source, a healthy fat and a dressing. Although I am trying to be vegan, I do not like all vegetables and legumes. So I was not sure what to choose and whether I would be disappointed with my choice. However, how I loved how the items in my nourish bowl were cooked and seasoned.

At Burger King, they say that you can customise your Whopper. However, if you are not into junk food, you can customise your Nutrition Bowl at @sanyamalta.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This month I went to visit Sanya to see what it is exactly. I had heard that it's a spa and later heard that they offer coffee and I got confused so I went to check it out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sanya is a spa and has also a bar where they prepare healthy vegan food, juices, smoothies, teas and coffees, and also homemade kombucha. I got to try kombucha for the very first time at Sanya.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since I haven't had breakfast before visiting Sanya and lunchtime was approaching. I ordered a Nutrition Bowl to try it. At first glance, seeing the ingredients spread I thought it's too little but in reality, it was enough for the day and I was not sure whether I should prepare dinner or not.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just as I did for St Julians, Sliema and Valletta, I am thinking of listing all the vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar. Would you like that? Do you know of other vegan-friendly restaurants in Naxxar? In these lists, I am listing eateries that offer specifically food for vegans and not random outlets that have options that sound vegan.
