After delivering the spring cruelty-free kit last March, I moved to Germany. While in Germany I started tracking prices for May/June flights to Malta so that I can book a week where I can prepare the Summer kits so that later they can be delivered. Since Summer is the start of the high season, I did not expect to find a cheap flight. Luckily I managed and booked a week-long stay in Malta and moved the deadline for ordering kits to mid-May so that I could give the right total of orders to the companies who collaborated. Once in Malta I collected and customised the kits according to the beauty profiles received. Now that most of the kits are delivered, it’s time for me to write the Summer 2019 Cruelty-free Kit Unboxing post.
Shampoo, shower gel, insect repellent, and one or more product with SPF15, as you might have noticed, I tried to make the summer kit, summer-themed. Whenever I subscribed to a box, I rarely had a box themed to the season and this used to disappoint me. So, I made sure to create a kit I would want to receive.

Each kit had a different makeup product from Catrice depending on the list of prefered makeup you specified in the beauty profile. If you ticked that you wanted vegan, I made sure a vegan Catrice makeup product was added in your kit.
Essence Cosmetics shine last & go! gel nail polish (vegan, full-size)
I don’t know if it’s because of the traffic which I redirected through their website, with the help of my vegan lists, but essence cosmetics seem to be moving to the next step of the cruelty-free lifestyle. They recently launched a range of vegan-friendly nail polishes.

Toothpaste is something you regularly ask for. The reason could be that toothpaste is one of the cruelty-free products we have too little of in Malta. So whenever I find I try to add one.

doTERRA TerraShield (vegan, roller bottle)
A cruelty-free insect repellent is also something you don’t yet find a lot of in Malta. For this reason, I thought of attempting to ask my suppliers if they happen to have one. Luckily doTerra happened to have the TerraShield blend of essential oils which can be used also as an insect repellent. Since it’s in a roller form, I imagine that you can apply it on the pulse points. Just as you apply perfume.

A product to keep you refreshed in summer, Tropic is a certified cruelty-free and vegan brand I have discovered recently.

Those are the products that I have packed for you in your summer kit. As you can see you can take this kit with you in your hand luggage for your summer vacation as it contains a lot of products under 100 ml and they surely do not total more than 1 l.
As mentioned in my previous unboxing post I calculate the 10 samples as follows:
1 full-sized product = 2 samples
1 deluxe sample = 1 sample
2 sachet sample = 1 sample
In case you haven’t tried this kit and are tempted to give it a try, you are in time for the Autumn 2019 kit. Last order for the Autumn 2019 kit will be taken on August 30th 2019. The reason being that I will need to tell companies, how many samples I would need in total and for which skin type etc.
