Juice Diary | Post-Easter Juicing : Day 1

Till a bit more than a week ago you might have noticed, from my Instagram posts or from this blog, that I was on Jason Vale’s 5:2 Juice Diet which helped me drop to 53 kg. Then as soon as the 4th week of juicing ended, Easter came and I took a one week break from juicing. However, till yesterday I was experiencing some stomach issues and was thinking that it was due to the junk food I restarted eating after the 4 week diet.

Luckily, the Juice Master was announcing a free of charge 5 day Juice Challenge, and decided to use it as my excuse to start juicing again. The challenge starts today and each day consists of a Ginger Shot, consisting of the juice of 1/2 apple and 1cm raw ginger to drink first thing in the morning. He calls it a ‘natural espresso’ which helps minimising the chance of hayfever, and two different juices each day which are repeated in different times of the day. So Juice 1 is to be taken at 10am and 7pm, while Juice 2 at 1pm and 4pm.

During these 5 days of juicing, I shouldn’t take anything else except for herbal teas. At the end of this 5 day juice challenge I should lose around 5 lbs which is around 2 kg. So I am hoping that by the end of this week my weighing scale tells me that I weigh 51 kg. *crosses fingers*

The juices that I need to prepare today are:

Juice 1: Turbo with a Kick: 2 apples, 1/4 pineapple, 1 handful spinach, 1/2 lime, 1/2 stalk celery, 2 – 3 cm cucumber, 1 – 2 cm raw ginger, 1/4 avocado

Juice 2: Natural Energizer: 1/4 pineapple, 1 handful spinach, 1/4 cucumber, 1/2 courgette or zucchini, 1 – 2 cm fennel, 15 pods sugar snap peas, 1/2 lime.
