The idea of creating a cruelty-free beauty box has been on my mind for years. One of the things that stopped me from trying it out are doubts like what if people find it expensive, what if they don’t like the products, what if companies don’t want to contribute, what if the expenses are higher than the price of the box, and so on. So this time since I was going to move to Malta I thought of testing it out. That’s when I started to work on the cruelty-free beauty box May 2018.
I started collecting prices of boxes and products, and I tried to find the best way to spend €20 and make sure that the total worth of products is more. It wasn’t an easy task. As you might notice, most of the products found in this box are from one supplier. That’s because I didn’t want to disappoint a lot of companies in the case that no one bought the beauty box.
Thankfully, you supported my idea and bought the box.
A short story on the packaging used…
Unlike other beauty boxes, I tried to use less packaging as possible. Other beauty boxes seem to contain some kind of paper hay to make it look fuller. Since I am against waste, I tried to just invest in a box. By adding this paper hay I thought I would damage more the environment as it might get discarded after.
