L’Oréal brands list

L’Oréal brands list

Two weeks ago, I had shared with you a post where I explained L’Oréal’s animal testing policy. The policy I went through was from the page of the L’Oréal Group and not their child beauty company L’Oréal. So you might try to avoid products which are prominently labelled L’Oréal and still support another L’Oréal Group brand without knowing as it was either written in small print at the back of the packaging or there was no hint on the packaging so you did not know. To help you know which brands to avoid if you have decided to stop supporting L’Oréal, I thought of listing all the L’Oréal Group-owned brands below.

You might see some fashion brands listed such as Diesel and Giorgio Armani. This is only referring to their cosmetics such as perfumes and not their fashion items.

Also note that I have marked some brands CF meaning that although they are owned by L’Oréal, they are still certified cruelty-free. There is a lot of doubt whether this makes sense. The reason being that since the parent brand is not cruelty-free how can a child brand be? However, since it’s up to each and every person’s preference whether to ban both or just the parent, I marked the cruelty-free ones.

As much as possible I avoid both, except for in the very rare case where I can’t find an alternative elsewhere.
