Garlic Butter Recipe

Garlic Butter Recipe

Since the BBQ season has started for me, and for some it is around the corner, for #MeatFreeMonday I’ve decided to share this simple recipe which in reality no recipe is needed, as it consists of the two ingredients mentioned in its name. However as a guide, this is my ratio:

  • 150 g margarine or butter, at room temperature
  • 3 garlic cloves, pressed

If the butter is hard, cut it into small cubes. Then add and mix well the pressed garlic cloves. If the taste of garlic is not strong enough for you, add another clove, until it’s as strong as you prefer.

I use this butter in two ways. The longer way is that buy half-baked baguettes and slice the baguette. For each slice, go deep around 3/4 of the way with the bread knife. Switch on the oven to about 150 – 200 °C and using a spread knife, place a small chunk of garlic butter between the slices. Put the garlic butter baguette in the oven and leave it for around 10mins till it’s ready. Let it cool down a bit and serve.

The quicker way is to spread it on toast 🙂
